Hi, I’m Myriam 👋 — a 22-year-old nutrition student at UMass Lowell with a passion for food, wellness, and helping others build a healthier relationship with nutrition.
My Journey With Movement and Wellness
Outside of nutrition, I’ve always loved creative outlets like crocheting and drawing. They give me peace, but they’re also very still hobbies. Over time, I realized I needed movement to balance them out and to feel better both physically and mentally.
That’s when I began exploring exercise in a way that felt fun instead of forced. I’ve tried everything from ice skating to running, from Pilates to just finding new ways to move my body that keep me entertained. For me, exercise doesn’t have to look the same for everyone. It isn’t one size fits all. It’s about finding what makes you feel alive and sticking with it in your own way. Through this, I learned that in order to move well, I needed to fuel well. That’s where my love for nutrition deepened.
Growing Up & Body Image Struggles
Growing up, I wasn’t necessarily overweight, but I was often labeled as bigger. Those labels stuck with me and created years of struggles with food and body image. I’ve been through a challenging weight loss journey that taught me so much about myself, but also showed me how difficult the process can be, both physically and mentally.
The truth is, body image struggles don’t magically disappear. I still wrestle with them at times. But I’ve learned they don’t have to control your life. They can become something you manage, rather than something that defines you.
Why I Started This Blog
This blog is my way of creating a safe, supportive space for anyone who has ever felt lost in the world of nutrition or discouraged by their body image.
There’s so much misinformation out there that makes healthy eating feel impossible or scary. I want to cut through all that noise and show that food doesn’t need to feel like a chore, healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated, and nourishing your body is about enjoyment, balance, and longevity, not punishment.
No matter your size, shape, or where you are in your journey, you deserve to feel good in your body and to enjoy the food that fuels it.
My Mission
Through approachable meal prep recipes, simple nutrition tips, and honest conversations about health, my mission is to help people simplify nutrition without relying on degrees or fad diets, build balance between food, movement, and lifestyle, and find joy in eating again without guilt or fear.
I want you to know that you’re not alone. We all struggle whether we’re too big, too small, or somewhere in between. And that’s exactly why I’m here to make healthy eating accessible, sustainable, and enjoyable for everyone.
Thanks for stopping by. I’m so glad you’re here, and I can’t wait to share this journey with you one meal, one workout, one step at a time.
